01 · INSPECT & REPORT

Fire door inspections
with clear reporting.

Start with an ECC Professional Fire Door Survey, or send us your existing report. We identify findings and explain appropriate next steps within the agreed inspection scope.

  • Door-by-door identification and location
  • Photographic findings and recorded limitations
  • Recommended actions and priorities
  • A separate quotation for appropriate remedial works
What does the executive summary include?

A clear overview of doors inspected, doors with no defects identified within the survey scope, remedial actions, proposed replacements and urgent concerns. Inspection limitations and outstanding assessment needs are recorded.

USEFUL TO KNOW

Your questions, answered.

Do I need an existing fire door report?

No. ECC can carry out the survey and provide a report with findings and recommended actions. If you already have a report, send it over so we can discuss the remedial scope.

Does every defective door need replacing?

No. We assess whether suitable repairs are appropriate, taking account of the door’s condition and available evidence. Replacement is recommended where required.

What records will I receive?

Your quotation will state the inspection report or completion records included, with door identification, findings, photographs and outstanding actions within the agreed scope. These document our findings and work; they do not constitute a third-party certification certificate.

Can the free health check replace a professional survey?

No. It helps you record obvious concerns and decide what to discuss with ECC. It does not establish fire resistance, suitability or compliance. If a finding is uncertain, or the suitability of the door has not been assessed, seek competent advice.
